Hi Sue, Giant Sperm whales are present in Kaikoura all year round due to the abundant food source and whale watch have a 95% success rate in finding whales. If your tour does not spot a whale then you are entitled to a 80% refund. At certain times of the year you can also see Humpback Whales, Pilot Whales, Blue Whales and Southern Right Whales.
