Embark on an extraordinary 3 hour Rotorua helicopter tour with Volcanic Air, departing conveniently from Rotorua lakefront. Your helicopter Rotorua flight begins with taking off over Mokoia Island and the stunning Crater Lakes District, where you may glimpse the trout spawning at Tarawera outlet. Marvel at the mighty Tarawera Falls before landing on the summit of Mount Tarawera, the site of the 1886 volcanic eruption. During your 20 minute landing, explore the dormant volcano's deep rifts and panoramic views on foot while your expert pilot provides insightful commentary and photography services.

The Rotorua helicopter tour then continues along the 15km volcanic rift line, showcasing Waimangu Volcanic Valley's steaming cliffs and Inferno Crater. Witness the vibrant hues of the Artist’s Palette at Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Park before descending over the Waikato River to the hidden valley of Orakei Korako.
