Description

Take the plunge with a tandem skydive in Tauranga, one of New Zealand’s most scenic drop zones. Experience the thrill of freefalling from up to 15,000ft while soaking in panoramic views of Mount Maunganui, the Bay of Plenty coastline, and the Kaimai Ranges. Whether you’re chasing your first rush of adrenaline or adding another adventure to your list, this is an unforgettable way to see the North Island from above.

Your skydiving experience begins with a short safety briefing and gearing-up. Then, climb aboard the aircraft for a 15–20 minute scenic flight that carries you high above Tauranga. From 12,000ft, enjoy 40 seconds of freefall; from 15,000ft, you’ll fall 60 seconds, reaching speeds over 200 km/h before your instructor deploys the parachute. The canopy ride lasts another 3–4 minutes, giving you time to breathe and take in the views as you glide gently back to the drop zone.

Skydive Tauranga’s experienced tandem instructors have completed thousands of jumps and are dedicated to making every skydive safe, personal and exciting. With clear windows in the plane and a flight for up to two tandems, you’ll have the sky—and the view—all to yourself.

Other Information

• Maximum weight is 110kg (220lbs). The minimum weight is 30kgs/66lbs
• Minimum age of 7 years, however all children are subject to an assessment on the day by the Tandem Master
• Passengers under 18 years require written parental/guardian consent
• Please wear closed shoes. Jandals/flip flops or bare feet are not permitted
• Weather dependent
• You will be provided with tandem skydiving jumpsuit, helmet & goggles 
• Wear warm clothing if jumping in winter
• Glasses or contact lenses are ok to wear
• Jump times may vary based on availability
• Video and photo packages are available to purchase to capture your jump.
• Choose from Selfie (wrist-mounted camera on instructor), 360 (full experience footage/360 camera), or Outside (filmed by another skydiver — pre-booking required for Outside)
