The Snowmoto Overnight Expedition is the perfect opportunity to explore further into the breathtaking beauty of Queenstown's winter wonderland. With state-of-the-art snowbikes and a team of experienced guides, you are guaranteed an unforgettable experience over two days. Chase the snow through a variety of terrain, surrounded by Queenstown's majestic mountains and glistening white slopes. The tour includes snowbiking, snacks, meals/drinks and an overnight stay in a backcountry hut.

Imagine zooming through untouched powder, exploring the vast backcountry of Queenstown and venturing deep into the heart of the snow-covered mountains. As the sun sets, you will set up camp in a cozy alpine hut, where you can relax and unwind after an action-packed day. Savor a delicious meal and drinks while sharing stories of your thrilling adventures with fellow snow enthusiasts. Then after a hearty breakfast in the morning, get ready to go riding again!

The expert Snowmoto guides will ensure your safety and provide you with the necessary training to make the most of your Snowmoto NZ overnight tour. It is recommended that you have prior experience of riding a motorcycle or snowmobile, such as operating the clutch, gears and brakes, as the Overnight Expedition includes plenty of riding and is not for the faint-hearted! If you do not have your own gear, such as a motorcycle/motocross helmet, there is rental gear available to hire on the day for an additional cost.

Duration

Departures

• 7:30am (returns approx 4:30pm the next day)
• Pick up from Frankton (near Queenstown airport)
• Operates in winter only (June - October)

Other Information

• Please bring: a helmet (moto style, no snowboarding/ski helmets), winter boots (snowmobile boots, snowboard boots, or Goretex moto boots with waterproof socks), goggles (2 pairs - low light lenses & sunny lens), gloves (2 pairs - thinner pair for riding in & thick/warm pair for when you need them most), warm under-layers, wool socks, waterproof/ski jacket, waterproof/ski pants, water bottle and lunch/snacks
• For overnight stay, please bring: a backpack (one per person), change of socks/underwear, t-shirt, spare warm layer, phone charger, toiletry bag & beanie
• Please note there is no shower available at the backcountry hut accommodation
• The following rental gear is available to hire on the day for an additional cost: Alpine Star Drystar Boots $40, Alpine Star Helmets $40, 100% Goggles $15, Jackets $30, Snowboard pants $30, Gloves - polar blast $15 or 100% moto, Alpine Star Neck Warmers to buy $40
• Previous motorcycle or snowmobile experience is required (ability to use clutch, gears & brakes)
• Minimum age is 16yrs (parental consent needed for under 18yrs)
• Reasonable level of riding fitness required 
• Please let us know about any pre-existing medical injuries or conditions when booking
• All snowbikes are single user 450cc bikes (no passengers)
• If the tour cannot go ahead due to bad weather, you will be contacted on the day to reschedule
• Cancellations made within 30 days prior to the date of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee
