From Queenstown, it’s a 35 minute flight to Milford Sound over highlights such as Skipper Canyon and Paradise, a well-known filming location near Glenorchy for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies. As you soar over the snow capped mountains and glaciers of Fiordland National Park, you will soon reach Milford Sound for a breathtaking overflight.

Your Air Milford pilot flies the length of Milford Sound for incredible views of Mitre Peak, Stirling Falls and the mouth of the fiord. After making the most of the photo opportunities from above, your plane lands at the Milford Sound airstrip where you can spend time exploring the shoreline. You have 2 hours for a self-guided walk or perhaps a visit to the Discover Milford Cafe before your return flight to Queenstown.
