Description
Experience a day of adventure in Fiordland National Park with a jet boat ride on the Waiau River and a guided Kepler Track day walk. This small-group experience with Fiordland Tours combines high-speed thrills on the water with a scenic forest hike along one of New Zealand’s Great Walks.
Your journey begins in Te Anau, where you'll be picked up and taken to the Waiau River, famously featured in the Lord of the Rings movies. Board the Fiordland Jet for a high-speed jet boat ride down the river, passing under the Rainbow Reach bridge before arriving at Lake Manapouri, one of New Zealand’s most remote and scenic lakes.
After disembarking at Cosy Nook, enjoy a freshly baked morning tea before setting off on the Kepler Track. Your guide will lead you along a 7km section of the trail, sharing insights about the region’s unique flora, fauna and history. The walk is mostly flat, making it suitable for those with moderate fitness. Along the way, spot native birds, take in the peaceful surroundings and enjoy a picnic lunch at Moturau Hut.
