Experience the world famous Routeburn Track on a privately guided day walk with luxury transfers from Queenstown. One of New Zealand’s Great Walks, the Routeburn Track offers hikers spectacular views of Mount Aspiring National Park and its resident flora and fauna. Whether you are an experienced hiker or simply love the outdoors & have a moderate level of fitness, this bespoke Routeburn day walk promises a hugely rewarding day out from Queenstown. 

Your private Routeburn Guided Walk with Black NZ starts with premium transfers from your Queenstown accommodation. In a luxury Mercedes vehicle, travel in style along the scenic road from Queenstown to Glenorchy - rated one of the world’s most scenic drives. From Glenorchy, the scenery becomes even more dramatic as you continue up the Dart Valley to the start of your Routeburn Track day walk at Routeburn Shelter. 

From the Routeburn Shelter, the walking track winds through beautiful beech forest filled with New Zealand wildlife. Your expert Black NZ will point out native birds such as the Yellow-Crowned Parakeet, Yellowhead Mohua, the tiny Rifleman and cheeky South Island Robin. The scenery then opens up as you reach the alpine meadows at Routeburn Flats Hut, with stunning views of the Routeburn Valley.

If the group is feeling fit, the Routeburn Track day hike can continue up the steep climb to Routeburn Falls, which offers even more incredible views out over the valley and up to Harris Saddle. Your experienced guide at Black NZ will support you throughout the walk, with regular stops for refreshments as well as plenty of photo opportunities.

• A high level of fitness is required for the 19.6km return to the Routeburn Falls Hut
